Nananom is Akan for elderly, or the moral respect of elders. Xu means future in the Lenape language. The concert featured pianist Alexis Marcelo, known for his unique sound, along with jazz veterans JD Parran and Daniel Carter on woodwinds, and a guest appearance by guitarist James Keepnews. The performance showcased the exceptional talent of the musicians, with Marcelo's distinct piano style, Parran and Carter's expertise on woodwinds, and Keepnews's skillful guitar playing. The event provided a memorable and captivating experience, highlighting the artistry of the performers and their contributions to the New York Jazz Scene.
